The Magical Sword, also known as the Magic Sword[1], is a sword that appears in some earlier The Legend of Zelda titles.
History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda series[edit]
The Legend of Zelda[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda, the Magical Sword is owned by an old man living underneath one of the tombs in the Graveyard. Link needs to have at least 12 Container Hearts before he can acquire and use the Magical Sword, which deals twice as much damage as the White Sword and four times as much as the regular sword.[2]
During the Second Quest, the Magical Sword and its owner are found in the Death Mountain area, on the screen directly to the left of where the White Sword is found.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link[edit]
In Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, the Magical Sword[3] is the only sword that Link uses throughout the game. It can be strengthened by leveling up Link's ATTACK element, as well as using the Fire magic to temporarily replace its sword beams with fireballs.
Link: The Faces of Evil / Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon[edit]
In Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, the Magic Sword is the second and last upgrade for both Link and Zelda's Smart Sword, capable of firing power blasts even if its wielder is not at full health. In the former game, the Magic Sword is forged after giving the Fire Diamond to Kulvan in Shipwreck Cliff, while in the latter, it is created by giving the Heat Crystal to Yokan after he moves to Sakado and becomes the town's blacksmith.
Hyrule Warriors[edit]
In Hyrule Warriors, the Magical Sword is one of the Hylian Swords that can be equipped by Link.
