- “It's not much, but it'll still carry water.”
- – Alora, Link: The Faces of Evil
The Canteen is an item appearing in Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon. It is a glass decanter used by Link and Zelda to carry extra Water of Life. Canteens are normally empty, but can be filled up by speaking to certain characters or, in Link: The Faces of Evil, using hidden Water of Life bottles. When used, the filled Canteen instantly restores the player's health and becomes empty once again.
In Link: The Faces of Evil, the Canteen is obtained after Link returns a stolen necklace to Alora in Toyku Lighthouse. In Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, Zelda receives the Canteen in Shutoy Lake after freeing a trapped Lady Alma. Alma mentions that the container used to belong to Link, who gave it to her in exchange for a kiss.
