“This is a terrible situation, Link... I'm truly sorry. Unfortunately, I can't go in your stead... but if anything happens, please come to my island. I will do what I can to aid you.”
Quill the Postman, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Quill the Postman is a Rito mail carrier in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. He is the first Rito shown in the game and one of the most plot-important ones. Despite his somewhat imposing appearance, Quill is kind and just.

He first appears delivering the mail at the postbox on Outset Island, where Aryll points him out to Link as he looks through her telescope. However, their attention is then taken by the Helmaroc King. After the Helmaroc King kidnaps Aryll, Quill persuades Tetra to take Link with her to rescue Aryll, pointing out the Helmaroc King most likely mistook Aryll for Tetra.

He later appears at his home on Dragon Roost Island, where he escorts Link to the Rito Chieftain, whom he tells about Link and his quest, then discussing the current rampage of their guardian spirit, Valoo, and the reclusive behavior of the Chieftain's son, Komali. Quill suggests Link might be a good fit for helping Komali, and the Chieftain agrees.

After Jabun flees from Greatfish Island to a bomb-accessible cave behind Outset Island, Quill attempts to find Link to deliver this news. He attempts asking the pirates if they know where he is, but unintentionally gives them the idea of going after Jabun instead. Quill flies back to the now-destroyed Greatfish Island and finds Link, giving him the news of Jabun's relocation and the pirates' plans.

Quill's final major appearance is when Link and Tetra confront Ganondorf after the Helmaroc King has been destroyed. Here, he and Komali rescue the two by flying them out, with Valoo appearing behind them and burning Ganondorf's hideout to ashes. They then fly them to the Tower of the Gods.

Quill is not seen in person after this, though he continues to deliver Link's letters. As such, his figurine can be gained as a bonus for gaining the Rito Chieftain's figurine.
