The King's Tomb,[1][2] alternatively known simply as King's Tomb[3] (spelled as Kings Tomb in game due to the lack of apostrophe character in the game's font) and also called The King's Grave,[4] is a minor location in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It is found southwest of the Harbor Town of Mido.
The King's Tomb serves little purpose aside from being a landmark, although its name suggests that it is the burial place of the King of Hyrule. In the Town of Ruto, Error tells Link of a tunnel located to south of the King's Tomb, and Link must follow it to reach the Island Palace.
The King's Tomb is a lot larger in the Famicom Disk System version, in which it has some enemies, a red Magic Jar, and three orange pillars to the left and right of the gravestone. In English releases, the King's Tomb is a single-screen area with a light blue sky, and the gravestone instead has a short pillar to the left and right each. An old woman was also added, and she simply tells Link that he is at Kings Tomb. Furthermore, English releases reuse the original layout of the King's Tomb for a nearby graveyard but with the orange pillars removed.
