Parutamu are enemies from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, being a variation of the Stalfos from the same game. They appear in later palaces starting with the Island Palace and act just like Stalfos. Unlike normal Stalfos, however, they wear armor (appearing as simply a helmet in their primary artwork and including a chestplate with shoulder pads in their sprites) protecting their heads. As such, Link cannot defeat them using a Downward Thrust. They still leave their legs unguarded, so they are still weak to stabs when Link is kneeling. Like normal Stalfos, they sometimes spawn in the air to do a Downward Thrust and the stronger blue ones are capable of jumping. Despite the blue ones being stronger, a blue one appears before the first red one.
