This article is about the enemy from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. For the wizard villain from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, see Agahnim. For wizards in general, see Category:Magic-users.
Not to be confused with Magician.

Wizards[1][2] are robed spellcaster enemies in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, appearing in both the Maze Island Palace and the Three-Eye Rock Palace. They are the game's equivalent to typical Wizzrobes, teleporting around and firing spells along the floor at Link, though they can be blocked with his Magical Shield. Unlike most depictions of Wizzrobes, however, Wizards are completely unaffected by his Magical Sword. To defeat them, Link needs to use the Reflect magic to allow his shield to return the spells back to them, which defeats them in one hit. However, if it is not done quickly, a Wizard will teleport away before the magic hits it.

The boss of the Maze Island Palace, Carock, is a tall Wizzrobe that acts like a stronger version of the Wizards.
