Snurgles are flying elephant-like enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. They fly by flapping their huge ears and behave similar to the Flying Fish in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, but with a few additions. They fly up near the Spirit Train and flap around it for a short time before trumpeting and charging it. Additionally, if the train has cargo, Snurgles will attempt to steal it. A single shot with the cannon can defeat them, but as they are encountered before obtaining the cannon, they can additionally be driven off by blowing the train's whistle, which hurts their ears. If Link blows the whistle before they begin charging, they simply flinch in pain while folding their ears for a moment. If it is done once they start charging, however, they will fly away. A larger, red type called Snurglar appears in the Fire Realm and carries keys.
