History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Stalfos Warriors first appear on floor B1 of Mutoh's Temple. They look like ordinary Stalfos, but have red collars, green-tinted gloves, and a helmet with a large red tassel. Unlike the game's normal Stalfos, they wield swords instead of bones. As such, they can only attack at a short range. Like normal Stalfos, they typically start as a bone pile and assemble when Link approaches. Also like normal Stalfos, when they see Link, they will sidle around just out of reach from him, jumping when he slashes at them. Unlike the bone-throwing Stalfos, however, Stalfos Warriors attack by charging forward in Link's direction while rapidly slashing their swords, doing a whole heart's worth of damage on contact, though Neri reduces it to three-fourths if equipped. They always slash an even amount of times due to slashing in both directions, and will often continue until they hit a wall, though they may stop sooner. They have the same weaknesses as normal Stalfos, however, and as such can be dealt with the same ways.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Stalfos Warriors act the same as before. They are now found in the Sand Temple alongside normal Stalfos, initially appearing as a group miniboss guarding the Sand Wand.
