- “Respect has nothing to do with how many years you've been on the earth. But you're probably too young to understand that.”
- – Nudge, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Nudge is a member of Tetra's pirate crew who helps her in making decisions. According to his figurine, he apparently understands her the best out of the pirates, is actually stronger than Gonzo, and is good at sewing. He calls Link "shrimpy," a more affectionate spin on Gonzo's "shrimp" nickname for him.
History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Nudge is first found in the ship, guarding the door to Tetra's cabin. If spoken to, he tells Link that most of the crew are not allowed in there, so an outsider like him is certainly forbidden. He also asks if Link is curious why a group of grown men respect a young girl like Tetra so much, and tells him she is actually 35 before admitting it was simply a joke. He goes on to say that Tetra lost her mother at a young age, and her coping and tenacity at leading after this is what earned their respect, and that respect is not based on how old someone is. Once the Forsaken Fortress has been reached, Nudge calls down to Link in the hold to go see Tetra.
After this, Nudge only has a few scattered appearances. He is one of the pirates carrying bombs back to the ship during the pirates' raid of the Bomb Shop. When Aryll sends Link a letter about staying with the pirates, she says that Nudge is somewhat strange, but still nice. Finally, he appears at the end with the others.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, Nudge appears with the other pirates in the Japanese and Korean-exclusive Navi Trackers mode.
