This article is about the bomb-throwing soldier. For the walking bomb alternatively called "Bomb Soldier", see Bob-omb .
Bomb Soldiers are a variety of Guard that throws bombs , usually from the tops of battlements.
History [ edit ]
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past [ edit ]
Bomb soldiers first appear with many other soldier types in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past , where they have red armor and horned helmets. They appear solely atop the high walls of Hyrule Castle , standing still and tossing green bombs down. As they are stationary, Link can easily defeat them if on their level, though they are otherwise out of reach.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures [ edit ]
In The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures , bomb soldiers again appear, now in a unique armor lacking horns. Blue bomb soldiers appear at Hyrule Castle, standing in place on walls and surveying their surroundings. When they see the Links, they begin throwing blue bombs, though they can be defeated in one sword strike if on their level. Later at the Realm of the Heavens , more-durable green-armored ones appear, standing on stationary cloud platforms while guarding moving ones.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds [ edit ]
In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds , Bomb Soldiers have gray, horned armor and appear on the castle walls once again, as well as inside Hyrule Castle . This time, they are capable of slowly moving towards or away from Link. Additionally, the green bombs they throw cause damage to enemies, and as such they may accidentally defeat other Soldiers.
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes [ edit ]
In The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes , Bomb Soldiers appear as they do in A Link Between Worlds albeit with blue bombs, appearing with the other Soldiers in the Fortress area. They often appear riding Totem Armos to keep them elevated and mobile at the same time. In the Sky Realm , the Sky Soldier counterpart is the Sky Bomb Soldier .
