Goponga Swamp is a swamp found in the northwest area of Koholint Island in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. It appears in front and at the bottom of the Tal Tal Mountain Range. Link first visits Goponga Swamp by exiting the Mysterious Forest from the north. Goponga Swamp is divided into a west half and an east half, and only the latter has a swamp.
The west half has Mr. Write's house and a Telephone Booth, which is located just before the east half. The west half has several holes, which Link can only get across by using the Roc's Feather to jump over them. Some Like Likes and Moblins are located beyond the holes. The center north has two cave entrances and stairs that lead up to Tal Tal Mountain Range.
