Firebats, also known as Blazing Bats, are fiery dark magic shaped into the form of an invincible bat.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Ganon creates Firebats with varying behaviors throughout his boss battle. They deal a large amount of damage on contact and as such should be avoided. At first, he conjures rings of eight up with his trident and sends them at Link. Later, he sends out one at a time in a quick spiral pattern, with it laying down a trail of flame behind it. Finally, he sends one at a time quickly towards Link.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Firebats appear in the battle against Ganon Shadow. It summons rings of six and sends them at Link as before, though they are weaker.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages[edit]

In a Linked Game of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, Firebats appear in the battle against the merged Twinrova when she is in her fire form. She summons rings of four, which fly at Link like previously.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, purple Firebats appear during the second phase of the Yuga Ganon fight, where after Link damages him he teleports away and summons them through fireballs erupting from the walls. They fly in straight paths across the room.
