The Well[1][2] is a minor location in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. It is a small well located just outside of Mabe Village.
The only way for Link to enter the Well is by cutting a few patches of grass from the raised ground behind it so that he can fall off into the Well below. The Well is mostly empty, and the only item it has is a Piece of Heart. It also has a small puddle and stairs for Link to exit out of the Well.
If Link falls into the Well with Marin, she falls on top of him. Marin apologizes to Link and asks if he is okay. In The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, if Link has met the photographer, he takes a photograph, titled "Heads Up!," and includes it in The Travels of Link album.
