Mabe Village is a place in Koholint Island in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. It is located northwest of the Tail Cave and south of the Mysterious Forest. Most of the humans on Koholint Island live in Mabe Village, such as Marin and Tarin. According to a rabbit, Mabe Village is "sister cities" with Animal Village, which is solely inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. Like Hyrule, Mabe Village also uses rupees for its currency.

History[edit]

Link starts his adventure in Mabe Village, by waking up inside of Marin and Tarin's House. Marin took him to her house after she found him washed ashore on Toronbo Shores.

In Animal Village, there is a rabbit who says that they cannot visit Mabe Village because of all the monsters that have appeared on Koholint Island.

In the ending, when Link awakens the Wind Fish, Mabe Village and the entirety of Koholint Island fade away because they only existed in the Wind Fish's dreams.
