The Slime Key is the second Dungeon Key that Link obtains in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. It allows Link to access the third dungeon, Key Cavern, once he inserts it into the Slime Keyhole.

The Slime Key is buried in Pothole Field, which Link can only access once he has retrieved all five of Richard's Golden Leaves. To obtain the Slime Key, Link must make his way through Pothole Field to the Owl Statue and use his Shovel in front of it to dig out the Slime Key.
