The Hippo Model is a minor character in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. She is a female hippo wearing a yellow ribbon on her head. The Hippo appears in Schule Donavitch's studio in Animal Village, posing for a painting. If Link approaches her as the painting is being worked on, she sits down, asking Link to leave her alone, as she must be still while being painted.

In the Japanese version for both the Game Boy and Game Boy Color versions, the Hippo Model is posing nude for a painting. She has an exposed pair of breasts and has a towel covering the lower half of her body. This was censored in the European release of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, just like the North American version. The censorship is retained in the Nintendo Switch remake.
