Madam MeowMeow, also formatted as Madame MeowMeow[1] or Madame Meow Meow[2], is a character in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. She lives in a house at Mabe Village. Madam MeowMeow has a love for BowWows and has a grown one as well as two Mini Bow-Wows named ChowChow and CiaoCiao. She frequently brags about her pups. A similar character named Mamamu Yan appears in some later games, even having a similar sprite in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.
History
After completing Tail Cave, two of the Quadruplets tell Link that BowWow was stolen by a gang of Moblins. At her home, Madame MeowMeow panics and begs for Link to rescue BowWow. After freeing BowWow from Moblin Cave, Link and him return to Madam MeowMeow. She thanks Link for saving BowWow and asks him to take BowWow on a walk. After Link completes Bottle Grotto and returns to Madam MeowMeow, she rewards Link with a kiss appreciating that he rescued Bow Wow.
