The Red Ring is a ring that appears in several games in The Legend of Zelda series. Its effects vary depending on the game.
History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda series[edit]
The Legend of Zelda[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda, the Red Ring is located in the final labyrinth within Death Mountain. It cuts damage received by three quarters. In this game, it turns Link's clothing into a vibrant red color, effective as soon as he picks it up. Additionally, wearing it affects the color of the sword hilt and Princess Zelda's dress.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, the Red Ring is given by an old man in North Horon after defeating the four golden beasts. It doubles the attack power of Link's sword. In The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, it can be acquired by using a ring secret using the Link System.
Hyrule Warriors[edit]
In Hyrule Warriors, the Red Ring is one of the Rings that Wizzro can equip. Additionally, the 8-Bit Red Ring is included as a Shackle for Midna in the Twilight Princess Pack. It is an equivalent to the Sol Shackle. It does not reappear in Hyrule Warriors Legends, but returns in Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, where it aesthetically replaces the Thunderhead Shackle in the 8-Bit Weapons setting.
