The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, often shortened to Ocarina of Time, is the fifth installment of The Legend of Zelda series, and was released for the Nintendo 64 in late 1998. It is the first The Legend of Zelda title to feature 3D graphics and environments.
Prior to its release, Ocarina of Time was one of the most highly anticipated games of its time. Upon its release, many critics regard it as one of the greatest video games of all time. Ocarina of Time received a direct follow-up in 2000, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Ocarina of Time was eventually ported as a launch title for the iQue Player in 2003, and a traditional Chinese translation was under developed in 2006 but was eventually cancelled itself.[1] The game was also released on the Wii's Virtual Console in 2007, and on the Wii U Virtual Console in 2015.
The game was eventually ported on to the Nintendo 3DS in 2011, titled The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
