Animal Village is a location in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, found at the southeast region of Koholint Island. It is located between Martha's Bay and Yarna Desert, which are respectively west and east of Animal Village. As the name suggests, Animal Village is inhabited by a few animals. Marin sometimes visits Animal Village to sing, because the animals admire it.
The Animal Village is said to be a sister city to Mabe Village, which the residents would frequently visit. Due to an increase of enemies around the overworld, the Animal Village residents are unable to visit Mabe Village.
There are no required tasks or items in Animal Village. Two of the trading sequence items, honeycomb and hibicus, are obtained in the Animal Village. A Piece of Heart can also be obtained at the top-right of the area, outside the fence.
