In the original Japanese version, the Grim Creeper calls the Big Keese his 「かわいい てした」 (''kawaii teshita'', cute minions). In the English translation of the Game Boy game, as well as its enhanced port, the Grim Creeper calls the Big Keese his "brothers," and seemingly stops himself from saying Link "killed" them in favor of saying he "beat" them. In the Nintendo Switch remake, he instead says they were "some of [his] best friends" while also calling them "creeps."
