This will reveal many things you couldn't see before!” – Item obtain description The Magnifying Lens , also known as the magnifying glass , is an item in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Trading Quest . Link can obtain it by inserting the scale on the Mermaid Statue . The Magnifying Lens is optional and is not required to complete the game.
The Magnifying Lens reveals certain objects and characters that were previously invisible to Link. With it, he can read the "Dark Secrets and Mysteries of Koholint Island " book in the library of Mabe Village . The Magnifying Lens also reveals the Zora of Animal Village and the Goriya of Toronbo Shores .
The Magnifying Lens can be considered as the predecessor of the Lens of Truth , which first appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
