Species Stalfos

Blue Stalfos is the miniboss of the Ancient Tomb in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. It is a giant Stalfos wearing a cloak and wielding a giant scythe, causing it to resemble a grim reaper. It attacks by swinging its sickle when Link is close and otherwise floating around while using a variation of Agahnim's magic. It can fire two types of magical projectiles, the first of which is a smooth orb and the second of which is X-shaped, always going in a pattern of one of the first then two of the second. The first type temporarily turns Link into a helpless baby if it connects, prompting Blue Stalfos to follow him around slashing as he crawls. The projectile can be returned by slashing it with a sword, briefly turning Blue Stalfos into a normal-sized Stalfos skull with Keese-like bat wings, now vulnerable to Link's own attacks. The second type of projectile merely damages Link, but splits into six smaller balls of energy that quickly radiate outward. After enough damage, the transformed Blue Stalfos explodes.
