Species Gohma
“That is one big spider... And it's even got a big nasty eye on its back... If that thing cast its gaze on you, you'd be helpless...”
Midna, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Armogohma is a the boss of the Temple of Time in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. As its name indicates, it is a Gohma encrusted with rocklike armor. It inhabits a dark room with four beams of light shining from holes in the ceiling and an enormous statue in each corner. When Link enters, he is alerted of its presence by it crawling over one of the holes, blotting out its light. Unlike most Gohmas, its prominent eye is on its back rather than its face, which has normal spider eyes instead.

Armogohma spends most of the battle on the ceiling crawling around, occasionally covering the holes. Eventually, it stops on one and opens its massive eye, from which it shoots a Beamos-like laser, eventually closing it and starting the process over. While its eye is open, Link needs to shoot an arrow into it, knocking it to the floor under the spotlight. It flails upside-down for a few moments, giving Link the opportunity to control the corresponding corner's statue with the Dominion Rod to punch it in the underside, damaging it. Whether it gets hit or not, it rights itself after a short period and returns to the ceiling, potentially trampling Link if he is in its path. If it has been hit, it now also sometimes moves to the middle of the ceiling and releases a large swath of Gohma Eggs, which hatch into Baby Gohmas if not quickly destroyed. After the process is repeated enough for Armogohma to be smashed by a statue three times, the spider crumples up and explodes, seemingly being defeated.

However, the victory music and animation are interrupted by Link noticing a large amount of Gohma Eggs surrounding the unprotected eye, which is shown to act as a bloated abdomen for a comically small spider enemy. The eggs hatch and the Baby Gohmas follow the weakened Armogohma away. Most of Link's attacks can defeat this form in one hit, destroying all remaining Baby Gohmas as the eye pops into a Heart Container. An alternate victory theme plays as the third shard of the Mirror of Twilight appears.
