Renado is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. He is the chief shaman of Kakariko Village, where he lives in its Sanctuary with his daughter, Luda.
History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Renado is first encountered as a spirit while Kakariko Village is covered in Twilight. During a large part of Link's adventure, Renado watches over the children of Ordon Village and keeps them safe in the Sanctuary. According to Colin, Renado found them some time after they were abandoned by King Bulblin and his minions. At one point, Renado reveals that he is friends with Mayor Bo, and he asks Link to visit Bo, who teaches him how to get past the Gorons blocking the path of Death Mountain.
Later, Renado helps heal Prince Ralis when Link escorts Telma and Ilia to Kakariko Village. Renado also plays an important part in the restoration of Ilia's memory. Later, Link returns to his sanctuary to find the hidden Sky Cannon found in the basement.
The barmaid Telma is romantically interested in Renado, but not vice versa. At one point, Renado asks Link to deliver a letter to Telma on his behalf because he cannot tolerate her. When Telma receives the letter, she is upset because he made no mention of her.
