A Fire Bubble is a variant of Bubble. While normal Bubbles are commonly depicted as wreathed in flames themselves, the name "Fire Bubble" is used in cases where they are not, or are not even present; it is usually used as a distinction from Ice Bubble. Additionally, while attacks from typical Bubbles generally have some magical effect, Fire Bubbles consistently burn Link.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Fire Bubbles debut alongside normal Bubbles in the Arbiter's Grounds. Their fire hurts Link if he tries to attack directly, but they can be extinguished with the Gale Boomerang, leaving them helplessly flopping on the ground.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, these Bubbles first appear in the Temple of Fire, where a pair of them act as a miniboss. They then recur as normal enemies in the dungeon, while another group acts as a miniboss of the Temple of the Ocean King on the fourth visit. They bounce around the room diagonally, not going after Link. Their flames can be again extinguished with a boomerang, and they can also be directly defeated with arrows or the grappling hook.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Fire Bubbles act as they do in Phantom Hourglass, though are smaller. They first appear in the House of Gales. Their flames can be extinguished with the Tornado Rod.
