History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, when Link meets Trill, he must defeat some Bokoblins before he can buy anything. If a Bokoblin is lured near Trill, he attacks the Bokoblin.
At any time, Link can purchase Lantern Oil or Red Potion, respectively contained within the Lantern and an Empty Bottle, by scooping the appropriate container into of the vats outside of the shop. Link can then pay for the items by depositing the appropriate number of Rupees into the payment box. If Link tries to pay less than the price, Trill calls him a cheapskate, and if Link tries to leave without paying anything, Trill attacks Link by pecking him repeatedly until he pays. If Link pays more Rupees than is required and then leaves, Trill thanks him.
If Link talks to Trill as a Wolf Link, Trill complains about not being congratulated enough by Coro and that he received minimal praise growing up. If Link has recently stolen anything from Trill's Shop, Trill instead complains to Wolf Link about how Coro scolded him for letting Link get away. Trill goes on to say that he became so angry that he put water in the Lantern Oil urn, although this does not affect the Lantern Oil.
