Ghoul Rats[1] are ghostly counterparts to Rats in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, first appearing in the Arbiter's Grounds. They appear in large amounts in darkened rooms, and are first encountered after opening a specific Treasure Chest shortly after the third Poe. They attack by climbing onto Link and weighing him down, similar to the Poison Mites from the same dungeon. Ghoul Rats, however, are invisible unless Wolf Link uses his senses. Aside from this, their presence can be noticed by their squeaking, dust clouds from their erratic hopping, and if playing as Wolf Link, Midna's visible distress when they start crawling on Link. They can only be defeated by doing a spin attack while the senses are active.
