Poison Mites[1] are tiny parasites that appear throughout the Arbiter's Grounds in huge swarms in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Despite their name, they appear to be beetles rather than mites, and do not poison or cause any damage to Link at all. They first appear after Link recovers the dungeon's first small key. They crawl towards him and climb onto his body, weighing him down as though he is wearing the Iron Boots, which is primarily an issue inn rooms with quicksand. By rolling, he can knock them off, and a spin attack can defeat them all at once. They also hate the light from the lantern, so they avoid him if it is lit.
