- “What... What is that thing? I've never seen anything like it! Ugh, I HATE creepy things like that! Do something, fast!”
- – Midna, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Twilit Bloat[1] is an enormous swollen Twilit Parasite from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It is the final one encountered, being the holder of the last of Lanayru's Tears of Light. It resembles both a giant isopod and a termite queen due to its size and shape, and greatly revolts Midna. It has a unique battle theme once it becomes visible.
When Wolf Link and Midna obtain the next-to-last tear, Midna confusedly asks aloud where the final one is, only for it to suddenly appear on the map in the middle of Lake Hylia. Once they arrive, a large mass of electricity can be seen zooming through the water around a collection of rafts before disappearing. Once Link approaches, it leaps from the depths and takes flight. As with its smaller counterparts, it can only be seen by using Wolf Link's senses, and upon becoming visible for the first time, the battle begins.
During the fight, it, like other flying Twilit Parasites, flies out of reach most of the time, occasionally swooping down while emitting electricity for a short period. Once the electricity is gone, it is open to being attacked, causing Wolf Link to latch on and bite its abdomen repeatedly. It then falls into the water and starts rapidly swimming around, eventually pointing at Link and taking off to try and knock him off the raft he is on. Once it is attacked three times, it becomes visible by default, falls into the water belly-up, and releases six fleshy leg-like protrusions from its underside. Link needs to jump onto it and use Midna's area attack to quickly knock all the appendages back into it, defeating it and releasing the final tear.
