Zant Masks are giant, floating versions of Zant's helmet that act as his guards. They are capable of teleporting and shooting pink glowing projectiles from their mouth-holes.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Zant Masks appear throughout the Palace of Twilight. They teleport in and out, taking a few moments to watch Link, open the mouth-hole, and fire a blast before teleporting away again. They often appear in groups later in the dungeon, and will often only appear once Link has reached a particular area - even if it is far from their own spawn point. They have good eyesight, and attempt to shoot Link even from across the room. They often teleport away in the middle of Link attacking them. They are fairly durable, as they can take multiple hits from Midna's area attack and they deflect arrows. However, once the Master Sword is powered up by the sols' light, they will be defeated in one hit from it.

Hyrule Warriors[edit]

In Hyrule Warriors, A Zant Mask makes a small appearance in one of Zant's attacks, where he summons one out of a portal on the ground in front of him and twirls it while it rapidly shoots projectiles for a few moments before teleporting away.
