Sakon, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Sakon is a thief in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and the main antagonist of the Anju and Kafei sidequest. He skips wherever he goes, and he owns a hideout guarded by a large boulder in Ikana Canyon, where he keeps the Sun's Mask he stole from Kafei. Additionally, he lurks near the tree in North Clock Town on the Night of the First Day, waiting to steal the Bomb Bag from the old lady from the Bomb Shop, which he does successfully unless Link intervenes. He also appears in Ikana Canyon, and if spoken to, he will try to steal Link's sword before being scared by Tatl. On the Night of the Final Day, Sakon moves aside the boulder blocking the entrance to his hideout, allowing Link and Kafei to enter and retrieve the stolen Sun's Mask; however, if he sees Link, he will not open the entrance.

If Sakon successfully escapes with the old lady's Bomb Bag on the Night of the First Day, he appears the next night from 12:30 AM to 1:00 AM in the Curiosity Shop to sell it. The shop owner negotiates the price from 200 to 50 Rupees after threatening to tell the Bomb Shop about him. This interaction is seen by Kafei through his hideout behind the shop, which allows him to follow Sakon to his hideout in Ikana Canyon.

When Link and Kafei enter Sakon's Hideout, he starts a conveyor belt that pulls the Sun's Mask away from the two. If the two fail to retrieve the mask, Sakon will remark that his security system is impenetrable, and he locks Link and Kafei in, forcing Link to play the Song of Time to escape.

Sakon is notable in that despite being a human character, he can be killed. When Sakon has stolen the old lady's Bomb Bag, if Link shoots him with the Hero's Bow, hits him with the Hookshot, or uses an explosive against him, the Bomb Bag will explode and Sakon will disappear, seemingly blown up alongside the bag. Afterward, he does not appear again until the Song of Time is played to reset to the Dawn of the First Day.

Sakon uses the same model as a minor character in the Market in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Like Sakon, this character prances around carrying a sack, and it is implied by his going behind vendor stalls that he may be stealing.
