First appearance | The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time |
Latest appearance | The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D |
Variant of | Peahat |
Peahat Larvae are small versions of the giant Peahats found in the Nintendo 64 games, thus being closer in size to normal depictions of Peahats. They are released from the top of the Peahat's flower and pursue Link while slowly descending until they hit his shield or the ground.
History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda series[edit]
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Peahat Larvae appear alongside Peahats in Hyrule Field when Link is a child. They are released from the Peahats that fly straight upward, spawning if Link moves too close. They then follow him incessantly until they touch the ground or hit his shield. Attacking them causes the weapon to harmlessly bounce off. Peahat Larvae are also spawned if Link attacks a dormant Peahat at night, acting the same as in the day.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Peahat Larvae are spelled as Pea Hat Larvae, though this is changed in Majora's Mask 3D. They appear from the game's sole Pea Hat, though since it is the type that attacks Link directly, they can only appear by attacking it at night.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Peahat Larvae appear from Peahats in the Smash Run mode, where they act mostly the same as before. However, they are spawned by Peahats that attack directly. They also share a trophy with Peahats.
