The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time description

The Kokiri Sword is a small sword used by Link as a child in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and throughout The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda series[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[edit]

The Kokiri Sword first appears in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. At the start of the game, Mido does not allow Link to meet the Great Deku Tree unless he is equipped with a sword and a shield. Link can obtain the Kokiri Sword in the Hole of Z (named "Hole of L" in Nintendo GameCube releases). At the end of its maze, there is a Treasure Chest containing the Kokiri Sword. According to the text from obtaining the Kokiri Sword, it is a hidden treasure of the Kokiri that Link is borrowing.

Link cannot use the Kokiri Sword as an adult, and if Link steps through the Door of Time with the Kokiri Sword equipped, it is replaced with the Master Sword when Link becomes an adult.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask[edit]

Link begins The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask with the Kokiri Sword, and it acts exactly as it does in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The sword has a different design from the previous game, featuring a yellow handle and a different blade. Unlike in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Kokiri Sword is automatically equipped, as with all swords and shields in the game, meaning it cannot be used once replaced with either the Razor Sword or Gilded Sword, unless the former breaks or either are stolen by the Takkuri near Milk Road.

Hyrule Warriors[edit]

The Kokiri Sword appears in Hyrule Warriors as an Attack Badge that unlocks a new combo attack for the warrior's default weapon. There are four tiers: Kokiri Sword I, Kokiri Sword II, Kokiri Sword III, and Kokiri Sword IV, which cost 100, 500, 1,000, and 3,000 Rupees, respectively, along with various combinations of materials.

Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer feat. The Legend of Zelda[edit]

In Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer feat. The Legend of Zelda, the Kokiri Sword appears as a weapon that can be used by Link. It is found in Hyrule Castle, and it deals 4 damages to the enemy directly in front of Link.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Young Link wields the Kokiri Sword as his primary weapon.
