The Black Beast is a minor overworld miniboss in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. It starts out as a ?-shaped bump in the ground on an island off the Western Coast, only accessible by lighting a torch with the slingshot. A nearby sign marks the bump as the Black Beast's remains. When Link hits the bump with a Mystery Seed, the Black Beast revives, revealing it to be a normal Mini Moldorm with the miniboss music. Like the other Mini Moldorms in the game, it is defeated with a moderate amount of damage, taking four hits from the Wooden Sword before being destroyed. Once it is beaten, Link earns the X-Shaped Jewel.
