Chasers are mechanical obstacles that follow Link in straight lines when they detect him, attacking with whirling blades and gradually picking up speed. They do not stop moving in the same direction again until they hit a wall, though they can be difficult to dodge due to appearing almost exclusively in narrow corridors. They act effectively as an advancement on normal Traps.
History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages[edit]
In both The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, Chasers appear as uncommon obstacles, usually appearing in mazes. In the former game, they appear in the Gnarled Root Dungeon and the Ancient Ruins, and in the latter game, they appear in Jabu-Jabu's Belly, the cave leading to the Sea of No Return, and the Ancient Tomb.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, Chasers are slightly smaller relative to Link compared to before and appear in a few setups among the randomly generated level layouts.
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, three Chasers appear in one room in the Cave of Flames, guarding a portal on one end and a mine cart on the other. When Link first goes through at Minish size, they do not notice him, but after growing with the portal, they begin chasing as normal.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom[edit]
What appear to be Chasers appear as echoes in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
