“Sniff! Sniff! There's a Spring Banana tree up there. But until the Rock Flowers bloom in spring, I can't climb up to it... Can nothing be done?”
Moosh, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

Moosh is a large, blue, and shy winged bear who appears as a partner in both The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. He can fly for short distances and by storing power in the air, can perform a heavy smash attack. However, he is afraid of deep water and will fall in and sink immediately even if he tries flying over it.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, Moosh has two possible first meetings with Link depending on whether or not Link has not obtained the Strange Flute from the Shop or had him for a partner in a previously-linked Oracle of Ages playthrough. If he has not, he first appears on Mt. Cucco, wanting a Spring Banana bunch from the eastern peak that can be gained by getting the power of spring from the Temple of Seasons; after Link gives it to him, he helps him reach the Dragon Key, disappearing after he reaches the Dancing Dragon Dungeon. If he has, Moosh appears earlier at Spool Swamp, having another Spring Banana bunch and being surrounded by Pig Warriors who want the bananas for the Great Moblin. Moosh knocks them away in a panic, though they return wanting revenge. After Link defeats them, their leader retreats, and Moosh grants Link Moosh's Flute and later helps him cross Natzu Wasteland. He leaves when they reach Sunken City due to all the water, and the scene on Mt. Cucco plays as normal albeit with some dialogue differences.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, Moosh appears when Link is preparing to leave Crescent Island, being in Yoll Graveyard being attacked by three Ghosts. After Link defeats them, he helps Link reach Cheval's Grave to get the Zora's Flippers and Cheval Rope. Once Link returns, Moosh leaves. If Link has not obtained a Strange Flute or had a different partner in a previously-linked Oracle of Seasons playthrough, he later appears lost in the Fairies' Woods. When Link helps him out, he gives him Moosh's Flute and helps him through Nuun Highlands. As with the other partners, he leaves when approaching Symmetry City Ruins due to the heat.

Linked ending[edit]

Moosh is briefly seen with the other partners in a linked ending for either game, where he flies above clutching a bunch of Spring Bananas.
