The Catfish[1] is a character in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It is a large catfish found in the Dark World's Lake of Ill Omen.

The Catfish is hiding underwater in between a circle of rocks. There is a signpost near the rocks that reads "Curses to anyone who throws something in my circle of stones". If Link throws a rock or a bush into the circle, the Catfish wakes up from its nap. It gives the Quake Medallion to Link and asks to be left alone. If Link throws another object into the circle of stones, the Catfish emerges to either spit a fireball at Link or throw a bomb at him.
