Variant of Keese

Chasupas, formerly known as Eyeball Bats,[1] are a species of large bat with an enormous eyeball taking up the entirety of their bodies. They act as a stronger counterpart to Keese.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Eyeball Bats appear in Hyrule Castle's tower and Thieves' Town, along with a few caves in the Dark World. They act just like Keese in how they fly around erratically when Link is nearby, but deal and take more damage.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Chasupas act the same as before, though their eyes now glow in the dark. They appear primarily in Lorulean areas such as the Swamp Palace, Skull Woods, Thieves' Hideout, and the Ice Ruins, though they also appear in the Desert Palace.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, Chasupas are found in the Ruins. They are now purple like in their debut rather than sharing Keese's colors. Compared to Keese, Chasupas in this game are much quicker and more aggressive, charging straight at the Links on sight.
