Plasmarine is the boss of Jabu-Jabu's Belly in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, being a giant Bari. Compared to most previous bosses, it has a simple behavioral pattern with only two attacks other than direct contact. It darts after Link through the water, stopping occasionally to fire an energy ball of the same color from its top at him or emit electricity. When hit with the Long Switch, Plasmarine not only trades places with Link, but changes between blue and red. To damage Plasmarine, Link needs to time the Long Switch so Plasmarine will be hit with its own projectiles of the opposite color, being careful not to hook it while it is electrified. The more it is damaged, the more frequent it will attack, with quickly consecutive energy balls and electrifying itself more often. After it is damaged seven times, Plasmarine is defeated.
