Shadow Hag is the boss of Moonlit Grotto in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, resembling a large version of Jo of the Poe Sisters. As her name suggests, she is a witch with shadow-based abilities, usually staying within a large shadow where she cannot be harmed. She alternates between splitting into four large shadows that chase Link around the room quickly to damage him and spawning groups of moths to attack him for a few seconds, teleporting between attacks. Sometimes when Link is dealing with the moths, Shadow Hag will emerge from the ground behind him and charge forwards, ducking back into the shadow if he turns around. Link must use the Seed Shooter to shoot a Mystical Seed at the wall to bounce back and hit her; she is immune to Spin Attacks and bombs. Even if she is hit, she continues to charge until she hits Link or he looks back. After enough hits from seeds, Shadow Hag is defeated.
