Deceptive fire is an obstacle in the Black Tower Turret in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. Four flames of it appear around Link in a room filled with a grid of staircases, which they slowly wind between before eventually each moving onto a specific stairway and disappearing. Most stairways lead to a short passage with blue Lynels before returning to a previous room, but one leads further through the turret. To find the correct path, Link must follow the flame that starts out behind him; due to him facing right when he enters, this will be the one on the left. It always leads to the stairway on the bottom row, second from the rightmost column, so following the fire can be skipped.
