Muddy
First appearance The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Muddies are simple slime enemies only encountered in the initial battle against Bellum in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. They are a dark purple glob of slime with a tall stalk leading to a miniature copy of Bellum's eye. During the first, third, and fifth phases, he spits them out towards Link, with them spattering and stretching upwards where they land. In the second and fourth phases, they drip from the ceiling over Link's position. When Link is near one, it will slowly follow him and attempt to club him with its eye. Due to the stalk's height, it has a decently large range, but can be defeated with one hit from most weapons, cutting their eyes off. Additionally, they disappear if left alone for a while. The primary danger with them is amount and lack of room, as in later phases they appear in groups. During the fifth phase, they actually sometimes home in on Link's position as they fall, which can be seen by their growing shadows. Additionally, Link is open to attacks by them when he is using the bow while waiting for one of Bellum's eyes to open.
