“The Ocean King must be locked up somewhere, too. The Spirit of Power is with you. Of course I'll help!”
Neri, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Neri is a blue fairy in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. She is the Spirit of Wisdom, and is held on the Isle of Gust in the Temple of Wind until Link saves her. Her direct role in the plot is fairly short; she opens a door in the third basement floor of the Temple of the Ocean King, explains how Phantom Eyes work, and has some other expositionary dialogue, but otherwise mostly only acts alongside the other spirits. Along with them, Neri helps Link steer to the Ghost Ship through its fog bank.

By leveling up Neri at Spirit Island, Link can equip her and double his defense while also improving his shield's ability, letting it deflect more types of attacks and allowing him to shield bash by running into enemies. Additionally, time from the Phantom Hourglass taken from being attacked by Phantoms is reduced to fifteen seconds. Doing so again doubles his defense further and reduces the time taken from Phantoms to five seconds.
