Eyeball Monsters[1] are flying, horned eyes found on the sea in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. They first appear in the Southeastern Sea. Depending on player choice, they may first appear when fighting Massive Eye, who will spawn pairs of them to quickly ram the ship, or when using the cannon to destroy the giant wall of ice around the Isle of Frost. Aside from during the Massive Eye fight, they slowly descend one at a time in a line of three or four towards the SS Linebeck, wavering up and down as they do so to make hitting them harder. Most of them are white and give a green Rupee upon defeat. When in a group of four, a pink one will be added, worth a red Rupee. After the ice wall event, groups of five can also be found on the open sea, with groups of six also appearing in the Northeastern Sea. On rare occasions, the ship may be approached by two separate lines at once. If Link has defeated one in the group by the time the rest of the group flies close, they sometimes will simply fly away over the ship. If one is hit in the exact instance they fly away, it will not be defeated, but still make the dying noise, which is shared with Flying Fish.
