Umi Blin
First appearance The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Variant of Miniblin

Umi Blins[1] are special Miniblins from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. They look like normal yellow Miniblins, but wear goggles and their horns are replaced with fin-like head crests. They can first be encountered on Nyave's Traveler's Ship, where five board each real-world day according to the Nintendo DS's internal clock, and after a certain point in the game are joined by a Zora Warrior. Since this can be visited before even going to Molida Island let alone any of the Northwestern Sea islands, they can be encountered before normal Miniblins.

Aside from this, Umi Blins operate the various Pirate Ships throughout the sea. In the optional event one of these ships manage to board the SS Linebeck, Link will need to fend off a group of them while Linebeck hides.

Finally, Umi Blins appear as enemies on the Isle of Ruins. This is notably the only encounter with them that is actually required for a normal playthrough of the game.

In The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, they have been replaced by normal Miniblins, likely due to also manning Pirate Tanks on land. Despite the change, the piratical Miniblins still seem to be primarily sea-based, as the Pirate Hideout is located in the Ocean Realm.
