Eye Slugs[1] are enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Despite their English name, they are more snake-like, having fangs and angular heads as well as making a hissing noise when they attack. They slowly slide around the room after the player character, rearing up and attempting to bite to attack. They are only found in the Goron Temple, where they appear in groups three times. The first time, a group of five is fought by Gongoron, and another group of five is fought by Link shortly after. Later, a much larger group acts as an obstacle for getting a pair of Bombchus across quicksand. Finally, several assist the boss Dongorongo in battle. They burrow out from the ground and move similar to Baby Dodongos from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and closely resemble Dongorongo in eye appearance and their rocky covering, so they are likely related.
