First appearance | The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass |
Species | Rusty Swordfish |
Neptoona is an enormous black sawfish-like Rusty Swordfish found in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, measuring 17 feet, 3 inches. Its name is a play on Neptune, the Roman god of the sea, and Toona. It only appears after Link has shown the Old Wayfarer a caught Rusty Swordfish, prompting him to tell him of its legend. He indicates it as a species when he challenges Link to "catch one," but only one can be caught in the game and is at a fixed length. It will rarely appear on the already uncommon large swordfish shadows in the Southeastern Sea and Northeastern Sea, and puts up a huge fight to reel it in. Once caught, showing it to the Old Wayfarer will prompt him to dub Link "the legendary romantic" and give him a Heart Container.
