- This article is about the flute appearing in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. For information on a generic ocarina in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, where it was known as a flute, see Ocarina.
- Not to be confused with Recorder.
The flute,[1][2] also known as the whistle,[3] is an item in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and the main item of the Palace on the Sea. The flute is a mysterious instrument that plays the ancient music of Hyrule, causing various events to happen. The flute has two important uses; it is used to defeat a River Devil obstructing a road on the land map and to reveal the sixth palace, Three-Eye Rock Palace, when Link plays the flute at the Three Eye Rocks.
