The Fairy Ocarina is a brown ocarina and an item that appears in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and its Nintendo 3DS remake, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Saria gives this item as a gift to Link when he first leaves Kokiri Forest, as a reminder of her. The Fairy Ocarina is eventually replaced by the Ocarina of Time after Link obtains the three Spiritual Stones; he witnesses Princess Zelda and Impa fleeing from Ganondorf, and Zelda throws the Ocarina of Time into a moat.
The Fairy Ocarina functions the same as the Ocarina of Time, except that it does not have mystical powers or the ability to teleport Link between locations. The Fairy Ocarina is only used during a brief part of Link's adventure. He can only play a few songs on it, including Zelda's Lullaby and Saria's Song.

Trivia
- In a few early screenshots of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, the Fairy Ocarina is shown to be assigned to one of the C-buttons. The item itself still exists as unused in the game's data, and with the use of a cheating device, the Fairy Ocarina can be added to Link's inventory. It oddly functions the same as the Pictograph Box.
